About Me

Steve Sandoval is an illustrator, filmmaker, stop motion animator, and visual development artist from Alhambra, California. He has worked with studios including Atomic Cartoons, Netflix Animation, Titmouse, 6 Point Harness, AMC, and Roar Studios. His credits include the Emmy Award winning projects such as  Entergalactic and the series Blue Eye Samurai. He has also taken on smaller commercial projects, such as the Apex Legends Gaiden Event trailer, which reached more than 2 million views on YouTube.

With his brother Louis, Steve co founded Concrete Cactus, a stop motion shop that feels more like a lab than a studio. If their work could be described, it might resemble super glue on an dirty X-Acto blade injury. The projects are odd, slow, and full of quirks meant for a niche audience of misfits, vandals, and pirates.

Steve also supports independent projects, such as Olan Rogers’ Godspeed. He believes creative collaboration matters more than money. If an indie project sounds fun, he’s willing to lend his craft for little more than a couple of breakfast burritos and a beer.

He also hates writing about himself in the third person. Consider this an act of professionalism.
